PACK 1980 IN THE COMMUNITY: Readington Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29

Pack 1980 Cub Scouts will be MARCHING in the Readington Memorial Day Parade.  A few Pack 1980 Scouts will also push our Pack 1980 Cub Cars!  

Cub Scouts should meet at the Whitehouse Mall (Kings Shopping Center on 22) at 9:30 AM. (The parade route roads will start to close shortly after.) When you arrive, please look for other Cub Scouts in the parking lot. Scouts should wear their Class A uniform!

Pack 1980 is returning to the banks of the South Branch of the Raritan River at YMCA Camp Carr for our Family Campout again this year.  This convenient location - only 15 minutes away from most part parts of Whitehouse Station - make Camp Carr a great location for our Pack 1980 Families who are also involved in Saturday and Sunday sports and activities!

June 3rd-4th Pack 1980 Family Campout & Campfire Program with Rank Promotion Ceremony

$20/Scout Family (includes Saturday fried chicken & hot dog dinner, overnight tent camping, Sunday egg-in-a-bag breakfast)

Come join our pack families to celebrate the rank promotion of our Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos I scouts on Saturday evening following a picnic dinner & potluck.

June 10: HAD Cub Scout Fishing Adventure

All Cub Scouts and boys interested in joining Cub Scouts are invited to attend the Hunterdon Arrowhead District Fishing Adventure on Saturday, June 10 from 4 PM – 8 PM at Hoffman Park.  

Join scouting families from across Hunterdon Arrowhead District for fishing fun, education, and a hot dog dinner.

Please bring your fishing pole and wear bug repellant. Bait will be provided.

  • New Scouts, Parents, Family Members:   FREE!
  • Currently Registered Scouts, Parents, Family Member:    $5/person (pay at the event).

ANNOUNCING: Cub Scout Family Swim at Silver Saddle on Monday, June 19

Cub Scout Pack 1980 and Pack 182 Family Swim at Silver Saddle Swim Club

June 13 from 6 PM - 8:30 PM

All Cub Scouts, Family, and Friends Invited to Attend!

Please note that this is a private party - everyone who enters must pay whether they decide to swim or watch.  We also need to guarantee a minimum of 50 guests to hold this private swim party. Cash Payment will be at Silver Saddle: 

  • $10/person swim/spectate only
  • $15/person swim/spectate + food package ticket (choice of hotdog, hamburger or chicken nuggets with a soft drink and fries). 

This year, we promise not to have a cold weather swim! Our Rain or Cold Weather Date will be June 21.

Summer Cub Scout Nights at Ockanickon Scout Reservation

The Order of the Arrow Ajapeu Lodge 2 will be hosting 4 evenings of Cub Scout activities at Ockanickon Scout Reservation this summer. These events are free and open to all current and prospective cub scouts and their families.
There will be different advancement related activities in ecology, handicrafts, field games and sciences plus ice cream and a special patch.
Join the OA on Thursday, June 29th, Thursday July 6th, Thursday July 20th and Thursday August 3rd between 6:30 and 8:00pm.
Registration for the events will be open on the council website soon.

Pack 1980 Cub Scouts at HC-BMX Scout Day 2017

Pack 1980 Scouts took advantage of Scout Day at Hunterdon County BMX to try out the sport of BMX.  For most scouts, this was their first time riding on a dirt track!  Scouts also had the opportunity to watch professional downhill racer Graeme Pitts.
